My work takes place between two constants.
The first of them is silence, the silence that docks and anchors as an effect of the calm contemplation of solitary landscapes.
The second is the longing for the absolute. In it I sense the instantaneous that, I imagine, rests in each one of the things and that floats in the space that contains them. This essential search declares that there is something veiled, apparent, secret in the reality of the distracted observer.
Guided by a sequence of revelations, I enter a place of almost melancholic perceptions and violent moments, perceptions that inhabit between two mental places, between two seas, the Caribbean of my childhood and the Mediterranean in which, through contemplation, I enter into silence. In an immersion in the emptiness of forms, in the solitude of the landscape, in the unspeakable. Unreachable horizons, infinitude.
I establish a language that develops a dialogue between the rational built from a physical world and the intuitive, and thus transfer the evident and go to the encounter of the essential. In the matter of painting flows intuition, instinct, accident. In the mixture of the elements, pigments, liquids I get into the alchemy of colour.
