Nick, Vapor’s main character, tired of our world and our society, where everything is noisy and mere nonsensical spectacle, resolves to retire into the solitude of the desert, looking for the ultimate meaning of things. However, even in the desert everything becomes a distraction. After all kinds of doubts, fatigues and sufferings, Nick seems to have been able to calm his mind. But then, he will be transported and seduced by the most mesmerical show of all time: the parade of the entourage of the inaccessible queen of Saba. Nick intuitively knows that if he manages to overcome this last distraction, the veil of appearances will fade away and the essential truth of the world will appear in front of him.

Max writes in his blog: «This is what I have done in this book, surrender to the power to generate narrative that resides in pure drawing. And, once I have done so, everything has flowed organically. You are no longer the deux ex machina that pulls the strings as you please, according to a predetermined plan. The drawing has revealed the truth of a story that originates from images and you have let  flow and followed it until the end».
