Max
Rey Carbón

INFORMATION
In his Natural History, Pliny the Elder tells us the origin of painting: a young man must leave for war; when he says goodbye to his fiancée, she observes his shadow projected on the wall, takes a charcoal and draws the outline of his profile in order to preserve a memory of him.
The Latin word filum means by equal thread, contour and profile. Max imagines, from Pliny's fable, a story in which thread (narrative) and contour (image) are one and the same thing, and proposes a free visual flow in which the drawing speaks for itself and about itself.
