Halfway between magical realism and adventure novel, Olivia Rojo regresa a Ítaca is the story of a both real and metaphorical journey. The journey of a girl searching for her father and for the answers hidden behind her surname, as red as her own hair; but it is also the journey into womenhood. The sisters from Isla del Olvido, the acrobat Brunilda, the Libereso or the Libro Arcano are some of the characters, scenes and objects that complete the story. A fantasy universe based on children’s book illustration with the influence of artists like Rebecca Dautremer, Shaun Tan and Moebius. Tradition combined with digitally coloured images.
