This is a choral story, reminiscent of John Dos Passos Manhattan Transfer, with a collective protagonist, located in Palma (Mallorca). Over 300 characters are present in the novel, of which about 70 have continuity throughout the book and all the others are related to them in one way or another. It aims to be a kaleidoscopic picture of the city and, by extension, of any Western city in the world. The characters, from all social classes, are the material with which the author makes a portrait of the human soul. One of the great merits of this work is its narrative technique, fragmentary but masterfully waved. The novel is developed through several themes: a murder investigation; the conflict for the inheritance of a rich hotel owner; the resurgence of a love story; and the sale of a painting by Klimt. And as backdrop, the economic crisis, immigration, political corruption, violence against women, etc.
