INFORMATION

Roger Genestar lives in Menorca at a time when Turkish and Berber pirates loot ports and ships and threaten all the coasts of the Mediterranean. He, however, is very young and a skilled bird hunter. His life consists simply of hunting and not being hunted. One day, however, he falls in love. Haunted, he will cross seas and lands, horizon there, to find her.  The investigation takes him to Istanbul, in the palace of the feared and arrogant Jayr al-Din, known in everything as Barbarossa, "the king of evil". When, years after leaving, he returns to Menorca, Roger Genestar will be another person. He has travelled, he has seen. Now he has land. But, in spite of everything, love still pushes him to defy his desert.
