Antígona

INFORMATION

Antigone, daughter of Edipo, wants to dignify the corpse of his brother Polinices, despite the prohibition decreed by his uncle Creonte, the king. Ismene, Antigone's sister, wants to prevent it, but does not succeed. Antigone disobeys the law dictated by the king and the guardian takes her before him to pass sentence. Creon tries to negotiate with Antigone the punishment if she asks for forgiveness for what he has done, because for him it is unthinkable that a woman rebels against his way of governing. Antigone is not convinced and Creon executes his sentence, death.
