Abans que t'adormis (Sergio Ramis in Memoriam) ("Before you sleep") is essentially the music of the young Mallorcan composer who left us at the age of 27 due to a tragic illness. Ramis is synonymous with eclecticism. Close to modern popular music and concerned with combining a direct, simple and exciting language with a rigorous exercise of composition understood as a profession. We will hear influences from film music (which was his great passion) and from the most academic language. This album combines chamber music, ensemble and solo format. Recorded by a team of Mallorcan musicians combined with musicians of international projection (Croatia, Poland, Colombia, Spain ...) headed by the pianist and friend Magí Garcías. Methodical and hardworking, extremely demanding of himself, enterprising and struggling, Sergio always worked hard for his music to reach the purest simplicity.
