Teatre Principal de Palma is the reference institution of the performing arts in Mallorca. It depends on the Consell Insular de Mallorca and it is legally set up as a non-profit entity. Teatre Principal de Palma also counts with the institutional support of Palma's Townhall and Govern de les Illes Balears.
