Sergio Ramis

At the age of 27, Mallorcan composer Sergio Ramis left us because of leukaemia, halting a promising musical career. After starting out at the Palma Conservatory and continuing his studies at the Escuela de Música de Cataluña (ESMUC) in Barcelona, he obtained a Fullbright scholarship and moved to Los Angeles (United States), where he graduated in Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television Program at the prestigious University of Southern California. He signed the music for Black Hollow Cage (Sadrac González), a film premiered at festivals around the world.

In 2015, he won the X Jerry Goldsmith Awards, best music in animation short film.

The Blau-Discmedi label released the album Antes de que te duermas (Sergio Ramis in Memoriam) in 2018, with the collaboration of former students of the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón. Three years earlier, he had published Impulsos, ELLEN.

Ramis' specialization in soundtrack creation led him to work on projects such as Zero, produced by Ridley Scott.
