Pau Faner

He took a doctor's degree in Romance Philology and is a novelist, painter and retired secondary school teacher. As a narrator, he introduced magical realism into literature, and his works have often been written from mythical or fantastic references. Among the novels and narrative books that he has published are titles such as L'arcàngel (1974), Un regne per a mi (1976), Fins al cel (1984), Lady Valentine (1984), Flor de Sal (1986), Moro de rei (1988), Mal camí i bon senyor (1993), Per una mica d'amor (1996), El cant de l'alosa (2009), Les noces del diable (2011) and El mal de la guerra (2013).
In 2017, the Institut Menorquí d'Estudis and the Universitat de les Illes Balears organised an International Congress in Ciutadella on the work of Pau Faner.
