Olimpia Velasco
- (Madrid, 1970)
His work, from installation, video, painting or drawing, is related to the constant escape that announces infinity, always from the feminine perspective.
In recent years, her artistic work is related to nature and to the desperate response she offers when confronted with human invasions. Her obsession with desire, to be able to float in the emptiness and cross the line, has liberated her from the chaos that pursued her and turned her into chaosmos.
Displacement is a form of knowledge, respect and understanding, and a way of approaching life and death. We must identify human beings with nature and understand that our vital rhythms should be linked to natural rhythms. To go back to nature is to go back home.
