Miquel Barceló Perelló

He was a historian, professor of Medieval History at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, and an expert on Al-Andalus. He was a professor in the United States during the 1960s. He wrote articles in different media, such as L'Avenç, L'Espill and El País.

He published a compilation of his articles in the newspaper El País in the book El país llamado deseo (Ensiola, 2006). In addition, he published two narrative books: El terme de Manacor (Ensiola, 2007) and Trenc d'alba (La Magrana, 2009). With the singer Maria del Mar Bonet, he prepared the version of the work by Anselm Turmeda Cobles per a la divisió del Regne de Mallorca. In 2009, she participated in the discovery of the keys of the last Saracens of Mallorca.
