The Fletchers were born in Mallorca in 2009 as a trio, with José Luis Miró on guitar and vocals, Carlos Garibotti on bass and Juan José Merayo on drums. With this group they recorded their first EP, Los hay más pigs, with restricted circulation and of which there are hardly any copies left. It was an urgent and rabid album that enunciated the band's inalienable principles: independence in the strict sense of the word and null postureo. José Luis Miró signed the music and lyrics of the six songs of this first work.
After the release of the original rhythm section in 2011, and already with Daniel García Arango on solo guitar, the Fletchers were refounded with the incorporation of Joe High on bass guitar and Alfred Ricart on drums. The new quartet recorded Triple Lobotomy Inversa (2013), made up of eleven original tracks and a version of the classic "Niño asesino", by the group Murder In The Barn, with which they took part in Mallorca Nochentas' tribute to the Mallorcan movement of the 80s.
The Fletchers claim to be "rock without bullshit" and boast of being "the best band of the moment". "Our songs don't talk nonsense and when they do, they deserve to be listened to", says composer José Luis Miró, "Código PUK", "Chica perdularia", "Desnudos en la cornisa", "Vaginesil", "Balconing" or "Cabo Blanco" are sound testimonies that endorse the chulería of the founder of Los Fletchers: "They are songs that go straight to the grain, like a punch on the chin".
