The carromato was born of the meeting of European sounds --klezmer, French song, jazz manouche, music of films of the old continent-- with sounds of the new world --swing, latin jazz, bossa or boleros--. All this, with a ballroom sound, acoustic and natural, seasoned in the Mediterranean airs of Mallorca.

The name of the band refers to the traveling musicians and puppeteers who crossed vast geographies uncovering the jar of the essences of yesteryear. Emulating those, Le Carromato travels in a rickety van whose majestic back door opens by pulling a long stick from the inside.
