L'arannà

With the show Turmarí, the duo L’arannà dives into the tradition of folk music from the Pityusic Islands to offer, through their signature electronic sound, a unique perspective on Ibiza and Formentera. Synthesizers and keyboards share the stage with castanets, drum, espasí, flute, and aesthetics that nod to the traditional ball pagès. Between gloses and redoblats—some rescued from sound archives and others newly created—the Ibiza-Catalan group weaves a narrative that explores the reality and roots of two islands that are much more than the dreamed paradise for tourists from across Europe.
