Josep-Pere Peyró

He is an actor, playwright and director. He founded the companies Morel Teatro, Cia Pere Peyró and La Invenció. He has been part of the Laboratorio Actoral del Teatro Fronterizo. He has taught theatre courses in different centres and universities.
He won the Premi Crítica Serra d'Or with Les portes del cel (2004) and La tanca (2007). He also won the Barcelona Critics' Prize for Deserts (1996), and the Chile International Festival prize for Una lluvia irlandesa - Una pluja irlandesa (1995) and the Butaca Prize for Criatures, among other awards.
He is the author of many other works, including Sueño (1986), Jocs d'artifici (1987), Infinito (1989), A ninguna parte (1990), Andante amoroso (1990), La trobada (1994), Maleïts (1998), Quan els paisatges de Cartier-Bresson (1995), Nina (2001), El cel és massa baix (2006), La vida lluny dels Poetes (2009) and Set maneres de ser Hamlet (2017), winner of the prize for the best male performance in 2018 from the association of theatres and public auditoriums of the Balearic Islands. She has worked as a scriptwriter for several television series, such as Dones d'aigua and El cor de la ciutat, by TV3, and Calle nueva, by TVE.
