He's a cultural journalist. He was a founding member of the newspaper El Día, which he ended up directing. In 1987, he began to work in the newspaper La Vanguardia, covering literary and artistic information. He has specialised in Joan Miró, of whom he has written his biography in the book Joan Miró. El niño que hablaba con los árboles, y de quien dio a conocer su correspondencia inédita con Salvador Dalí. Since 2018, he has published his cultural chronicles in the newspaper El País.
