José Carlos Llop (Palma, Mallorca, 1956) is a poet and novelist. He has published several diaries and literary essays, always with a critical and ironic eye. He works as a librarian, is a translator into several languages and literary critic. As a writer, he has published poetry, short-stories and novel. Some of his works have been translated into French and has received the Prix Écureuil de Littérature Étrangére in 2008.
