On the tour of Folk Souvenir, a project led by Gomila, the experimental and creative possibilities of this insatiable duo began to emerge, playing at the limits of language and creating universes that take flight from the voice and electronics.

When she released Folk Souvenir, Joana Gomila shook up the world of traditional music with a way of making both personal and daring music. There have been few records that have so faithfully captured the very soul of Mallorcan tunes, in part and paradoxically, because of Joana Gomila's ability to free them from the choruses of the traditional music.

In Paradís, Gomila starts from a new format in a duo with Laia Vallès with whom, with an expansive and transgressive sound (keyboards, synthesizers, samplers), she deepens the spirit of research and experimentation that gave impetus to her debut while broadening the sound language by incorporating songs of her own composition that force us to rethink everything we knew about her and the type of artist we have in front of us.
