Jaime Hidalgo & Nieves Portas
- Genre: dance , classical music
The Valencian concert pianist and composer J. Jaime Hidalgo, and the Ibizan dancer and choreographer Nieves Portas (Dance 'Art Jove' Prize), present this 'choreographic recital' based on the works of the most representative composers of the two nationalist schools with touches of poetry contemporary to them (masterfully interpreted by the poet Julio Herranz), on the 110th anniversary of the death of Isaac Albéniz (1909-2019).
Evocación is a journey through emblematic works of Spanish classical music such as Suite Iberia (I. Albéniz), Goyescas (E. Granados) or La Vida Breve (M. de Falla), among others. It is a recital that explores a repertoire of high musical and dance quality, which in turn reveals a model of concert practically in disuse (and unusual on stages today), with which figures such as "L'Argentina", Pilar López or Mariemma achieved great success.
Evocation is the symbiosis of two languages where the virtuosity of the piano and the charm of the dance go hand in hand, where delicacy and strength take shape, where the sonorous and the visual are evident, and where all the elements converge converting into a seamless union.
