The Companyia Any Calbó was created to carry forward the project of bringing to the stages the life of Pasqual Calbó, a Menorcan painter and writer. The government of the Balearic Islands commemorated the Calbó Year in 2017. The company is managed by Dani Fernández, a director of renowned prestige in the field of performing arts in the Balearic Islands. Graduate in Dramatic Art, specialising in Textual Interpretation, from the Barcelona Theatre Institute (1978). He has developed his professional career as an actor, mainly under the direction of José A. Codina and Albert Boadella with the company Els Joglars (1978-81). Since 1983 he has directed around thirty shows with Amarillo, La Clota and the Aulas de Teatro. From 1987 to 1988 he was the director of the Dramatic Centre of the Balearic Islands. As a teacher he has participated in the creation of the Aulas de Teatro de Menorca, promoting the learning of theatre all over the island. He is professor of Interpretation and current director of the School of Dramatic Art of Menorca.
