In 2009 and until 2013, Blanca Alonso, together with Nuria Capdevila, started the project of animation for the reading Colorín Coloradas. In this project they begin to be introduced during the narration of the histories of Nuria, images that Blanca is realizing with an overhead projector. This system evolves to become a series of drawings and textures that are projected on a large white screen and interact with the shadow of the narrator and other objects.
In 2012, he made a training scholarship with the artist Clara Lopéz, where he explored the technique and its possibilities in theatre. Blanca Alonso combines these projects with an individual trajectory as a plastic artist. In her artistic language she also incorporates this technique, and begins to introduce this language in performances. The projections take place over diverse spaces.
During the past year she worked with actress Adriana Henao on several theatre projects using the retroprojection technique, and in 2015 she participated in the festivals of Teresetes and Villafranca with the play Little Awa. She currently forms part of the Viu la Cultura circuit and the Xarxa de Biblioteques with the English shows of Magic Brush and Giant Peach together with the actress María Tinks, who are also represented in other halls and centres.
