La mar fa riure i fa plorar is the title of the debut album by Minorcan singer Clara Gorrias, a folk jazz record with an air of legend and mystique. It includes her own songs and also popular songs of Menorca and Eivissa arranged in jazz key by herself. Her band includes Toni Saigi (piano), Manel Fortià (double bass) and Andreu Moreno (drums). At 24 years old, the Ciutadella artist already has a long musical career of almost 10 years leading projects in Menorca and Barcelona and touring venues and theaters around Spain with several formations. Clara Gorrias holds a bachelor's degree in Jazz perfomance: Voice from the School of Music of Catalonia (ESMUC). Currently she is voice teacher at the Taller de Músics de Barcelona.
