Carles Domènec

His projects always emerge from journalism, but sometimes, he combines different narrative genres. His specialty is literary portrait, but he has also worked for international cooperation and in different topics such as the uniformity of the major part of cities in the world, life in prison, the disease of the NOMA, tennis, the great Spanish infrastructures, the international crisis or gender inequality.

He works as a professional photographer and journalist. He has worked for more than ten years in the production of multimedia projects. In the year 2001 he started collaborating from Paris, as a photographer, for the newspaper "La Vanguardia". He is correspondent from Barcelona, as a photographer and journalist, for the newspaper "Última Hora" (Mallorca). He collaborates for different media and institutions ("Cultures de la Vanguardia", "Agencia Española de Cooperación y Desarrollo", "Real Federación Española de Tenis", "Diari Ara", "Ajuntament de Barcelona"…). He is a Telecommunications Engineer, journalist and photographer, three different activities that he has always tried to converge in one.

He has exhibited his photographic work in Mallorca, Menorca, Catalonia, Madrid, Castilla, Huesca, Casablanca, Tanger, Tetuan, Nador, Agadir, Lisbon, Italy and Luxemburg.

He coordinates with the writer Sebastià Bennassar the digital magazine Bearn (www.revistabearn.com), dedicated to culture. He has lived in Palma, Inca, Ondarroa (Vizcaya), Sitges, Paris, Rabat and spend long periods in Lucca (Italy) and Austria. He currently lives between Barcelona and Luxembourg.
