After many years of traveling around the world and learning about different cultures, Joan Frontera Luna (BOC's creator and composer) was immersed in traditional music and rhythms beyond redemption, so one day he decided to gather a number of people who thought that would be best suited to carry this project forward, not only great musicians but also great friends.

BOC were founded in mid-2009 with an eclectic approach and keen to capture all these experiences through Mallorcan traditional instruments. BOC play folk music with influences from around the world and focused on original music, that combines classical counterpoint and harmony with the important influences from such diverse styles as hardcore, new age, metal, ska, etc.BOC has been continually evolving and experimenting to reach the point where they are today, thanks to the contribution of all members of the band, who come from very different musical areas.

They are a young band, but they have worked very hard and are driven by a will to live experiences that only music can bring. Most of its members combine a background in traditional music, as well as other styles and, for years, they have been part of other traditional music bands alongside BOC.
