Aina de Cos is an actress and playwright.

I do theatre to tell stories, to understand, to understand myself. I do theatre to share a point of view, a vision, an idea or a dream. I do theatre because I wouldn't know how to do otherwise... Well, I would know how to do other things but I don't want to do them. I do theatre because I don't want to do anything else; because I think that the people who dedicate our work and our effort -there is a lot of work and a lot of effort-, the people who dedicate ourselves to telling stories, we are very fortunate. So that for a moment on stage, just one, small, ephemeral, where you see that the story you want to share arrives, this instant erases everything; it erases precariousness, the struggle, the uneasiness, the doubts, the insecurity, the gathering of strength you don't know very well where from; it erases the daily fear with which you live, the doubt that you have made, the insecurity that accompanies you. It is an instant more alive than life itself. We need fiction, we need to see ourselves in the mirror of a stage, we need stories to move forward. We need instants that are more alive than life itself. That's why I do theatre
