Adipem Panda is an instrumental metal group founded in Palma (Mallorca) in 2013. The group is influenced by subgenres such as experimental or progressive, as well as other influences that move among classical progressive rock and modern metal. Hence, even though the components of the band are young, they have a brilliant technique.

In 2013, they put the group on the map by releasing a demo that included a live-recorded song as a sample of their staging as well as two home-made recorded themes which reflected the origins of the group. In those origins, when they didn’t have a bass player and still in the format of a trio, they already decided that they wanted to transmit every kind of feelings and emotion through their music, by means of experimentation and without any voice nor lyrics. At the end of the year, after a bassist joined them, the group was composed by Victor Forés and Nofre Morell (guitars), Joan Bauzà (Drums), and Francesc Bonnín (bass), all of them between 18 and 23 years old.

With the demo behind their backs, Adipem Panda goes across the island with an ambitious and different repertoire, playing in the most important local gigs of the metal area in Mallorca such as Es Gremi or Tunnel, as well as in several festivals.  

In 2015, the group decides to reduce the presence in the island concert circuit to focus in what will be their first project: “The Last Origin”, an EP which was edited by the label Espora Records (2016), with which they begin a new phase. This first studio album is a statement of principles where they experiment and explore the possibilities of an instrumental metal influenced by lots of styles, classical and contemporary, creating a characteristic style. This debut EP, mastered by Hay Zeelen in Hay Zeelen Mastering, Santanyí, was pretended to be presented in 2016 in the whole island and some areas of Spain.

“The Last Origin” is a conceptual album with six songs which captivates the hearers and brings them to a trip through a world of fiction illustrated by the local artist Motxuel, the graphic designer of the group. The presentation of the CD anticipates with the single “The Ancient Voyager”.
